Patterned Polishes

These are some nails that I did for Hands of Love; one of my friends wanted Doctor Who TARDIS nails. I started out with a blue polish. On all of the nails, I painted on three white squares as windows. On the ring and thumb I painted a thin black stripe at the top. Then I used a toothpick to create some small white dots and squiggles/dashes on top. Enjoy!DoctorWhoDoctorWho2

Character Development: Lady Mary Crawley

I love Lady Mary Crawley…and I love her development throughout season 1.

In the beggining she was a cold, conceited, and arrogant teenager who thought she was better than everyone. She was extremely snobbish, and thought that marriage was about inheritance, wealth, and titles.

She will not even consider Matthew as a husband, or even a suitor. She thinks he is merely an intruder.

She was also a bit of a bully, especially to Edith.

Mary was high-headed, and loved the attention from her suitors.

(I didn’t include Sir Anthony because Edith sorta took him..)

But people took her too seriously. After all that flirting, Mr. Pamuk took it the wrong way. Mary’s really quite childish.

And obvious stuff happened…she didn’t know how to stop it … and then he died in her bed.

Then after that, we see a cold, grieving Mary. She’s humiliated, and now her mother forces her to find a husband to minimize the scandal if it ever gets out.

Rumors in London spread about Mary not being virtuous.

She and Matthew end up spending time.

Then he proposes.

Mary loves him for who he is, not for his inheritance. When Cora is pregnant she wants to accept even if the child is a boy. She’s changed so much from the beggining where she thought marriage was only for wealth and title.

However her Aunt pushes her to decline, incase it is a boy.
Stuff happens, Mary and Matthew are no longer on speaking terms even though they both love each other.

Then the war break out, Matthew enlists…

Mary has changed from a careless, haughty girl to a woman who knows love and is now aware of her flaws. She’s expirienced guilt, pleasure, and living with a lie.

At the end Matthew and Mary both appear to be heartbroken.

Mary feels ashamed and guilty for not accepting him, and she is at a high risk for her scandal being exposed.

Conclusion: Eclampsia SUCKS.

Hollywood Life

On the Jan. 27 episode of ‘Downtown Abbey,’ one beautiful new life was created, while another shocking death rocked the entire series. Dr. Linda Burke-Galloway spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY to reveal the details behind the illness and why it killed a beloved Crawley family member.

Downton Abbey is nothing if not shocking — and episode four of season three caught everyone off guard when one of the Crawleys suffered a shocking death that no one saw coming.
